Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 22, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you interact with the site. Cookies may be session-based (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (remain on your device for a set period).
2. How We Use Cookies
wavyyy uses a minimal set of cookies and browser storage mechanisms. We prioritize your privacy and only store what is strictly necessary to deliver the Service.
3. Cookies & Storage We Use
| Name / Key | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-* | Essential cookie | Supabase authentication session — keeps you logged in | Session / up to 1 week |
wavyyy-language | Preference (localStorage) | Stores your chosen language (EN or FR) | Persistent |
blindtest-volume | Preference (localStorage) | Stores your audio volume setting | Persistent |
stripe-* | Functional cookie | Stripe payment session for Pro subscription checkout | Session |
4. What We Don't Use
wavyyy does not use:
- Advertising or tracking cookies
- Third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.)
- Cross-site tracking
- Fingerprinting technologies
5. Essential Cookies
The Supabase authentication cookies (sb-*) are strictly necessary for the Service to function. Without them, you cannot log in or maintain a session. These cookies do not require your consent under GDPR as they are essential to the service you have requested.
6. Preference Storage
Your language and volume preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage, not as cookies. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or site data.
7. Third-Party Cookies
When you subscribe to wavyyy Pro, Stripe may set cookies on their payment pages to prevent fraud and ensure payment security. These are subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Audio previews are served via Deezer's API from our server — your browser does not directly contact Deezer and no Deezer cookies are set.
8. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies (such as authentication cookies) will prevent you from staying logged in.
Here's how to manage cookies in common browsers:
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
